In our opinion, the safest car seat is one that has been installed correctly and is being used correctly. Evidence suggests a reduction in
child deaths by 71 percent and injuries by 67 percent when car seats are used and installed correctly.
Therefore we recommend:
1. Carefully reading your instruction manual especially how to correctly install your car seat and how to safely use the harness system of your car seat. As your child grows, you will need to adjust your car seat. For example increasing the harness height and monitoring your child’s height and weight against the recommended harness and seat limits. Regularly referring to your car seat’s instruction manual (we recommend weekly) is vital.
2. Where possible,
visiting to your local child restraint fitter who can help with correct installation, education and use of your car seat. You can contact us
