More Coastie’s hired after rapid growth continues for Edwards & Co
The lockdown' baby boom' was a bit of a myth, but that hasn't slowed down stroller manufacturer Edwards & Co from optimising their already accelerated growth and creating even more jobs for locals.
In November 2020, Edwards & Co outgrew the Silverdale premises they'd been in for six years and moved around the corner to a brand-new architecturally designed complex, complete with purpose-built showroom, warehouse, and office space for their growing team.
A small team of five worked through the uncertainties of 2020 and came out the other side, with sales doubling on the previous year.
After a well-deserved summer break, Edwards & Co started 2021 with a team that had grown to 15 people, including six from the Hibiscus Coast who only commute a few minutes to work and a further five who come from the wider North Shore in Auckland.
Edwards & Co is a family-owned and operated business with founder, Mark Edwards, designing strollers, infant capsules, and other baby products. Edwards & Co has fast become a household name among NZ parents, with brand awareness increasing in Australia as the business looks to break into the market.

And it doesn't end there. Supporting local charities and initiatives is a core value for the brand, whether donating products for a kindergarten raffle or supporting local mums through The Mums Clique's charity group.
